Kamenitza EURO 2020
Task:
Create an engaging TV tag for the UEFA EURO 2020-themed national consumer promo of leading beer brand Kamenitza.
Solution:
To make Kamenitza stand out in the rather crowded commercial breaks between the games from the UEFA EURO 2020, we used a technique that is rarely seen on Bulgarian television – cutout animation. The art direction was partly inspired by the paper banners some fans create to support their teams and enabled us to present the prizes in the promo in an appealing way. Modeled as close to the real thing as possible, every prize immediately attracts the viewer’s attention against the paper-like backdrop. Movements of the animated objects are reminiscent of those of the players on a foosball table while re-creating the dynamics of an exciting football game. The latter served as a natural transition from the ad break to the match.
